Assam Agricultural University (AAU) Jorhat has invited application through Email for the recruitment of 14 vacancy of Project Associate, Assistant Project Scientist, Accounts Manager and Research Technician contractual posts under APART.
AAU Jorhat Recruitment 2021 Details:
1. Project Associate
No. of Post: 02 nos. on various locations of Assam.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess Post Graduate Degree (min two years duration) in Agri or allied subjects, from any Govt. recognized University/ Institutions.
Working Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with professional experience of working in agri. value chains including farm management/ managing large scale agricultural production operations and knowledge of agricultural practices, principles of conducting varietal assessments, field trials and seed production.
Salary: Rs. 4.80 lakh to Rs. 6.18 lakhs per year
2. Assistant Project Scientist (Seed/ Agronomy/ PH)
No. of Post: 05 nos. on various locations of Assam.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering or Rural development or related field.
Working Experience: Sufficient working experience in the required field including basic knowledge of agriculture, extension techniques and rice value chain.
Salary: Rs. 3.6 lakh to Rs. 4.37 lakhs per year
3. Accounts Manager
No. of Post: 4 nos. on various locations of Assam.
Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Commerce/ Accountancy/ Finance and Accounts or a closely related field from a recognized University/ Institute.
Working Experience: The applicant must have at least Five years of professional experience in accounting management in any Public/ Private sector organization.
Computer Skill: The applicant must have experience of using Internet based applications, using and working with Tally Accounting System/ MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point and other related applications.
4. Research Technician
No. of Post: 03 nos. on various locations.
Educational Qualification: At least Higher Secondary (10+2) pass.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in rice production or farming and rice machinery operations. Experience in organizing Farmers meetings and community mobilization would be an added advantage.
Note: The incumbent must possess a valid driving license and motor bike as the job would require extensive local travel in rural areas.
Salary: Rs. 1.80 lakh to Rs. 2.19 lakhs per year
Selection Process of AAU Jorhat Recruitment:
An online walk-in-Interview will be held in virtual mode for the selection of suitable candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated/ invited for appearing in the online interview. The list of shortlisted candidates will be published in the AAU's website www.aau.ac.in in time.

Essential Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Agriculture/Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology / Life Sciences with two years of research experience.
Desirable: Experience of working in laboratory as well as extension activities oriented to such discipline shall be given preference.

2. Project Assistant

Essential Qualification: B.Sc.

Or,
Master's degree in the relevant subject with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate-ship / Training / other engagements. Published research papers will be desirable.
